FW Thorpe has now installed solar PV units on the roofs of the majority its UK manufacturing facilities, as well as at Lightronics in the Netherlands. Further investments are planned in both the UK and Netherlands facilities to reduce consumption from traditional electricity sources and from 2022 onwards all of the Group’s energy consumption will be delivered from renewable sources. Key figures (excluding Zemper): - 790,030 kWh of electricity is produced per annum from solar panels - 244.51 tonnes CO₂e offset per annum - 25 year projection of 19,750,750 kWh of electricity produced from solar panels - 25 year projection of 6112.70 tonnes CO₂e offset by the solar panel installations.
